Welcome to Vote 100 in Kirklees

Democracy in Kirklees

We’re celebrating democracy for everyone.

2018 marks 100 years since Parliament passed a law which allowed some women, and all men, to vote for the first time: the 1918 Representation of the People Act.

We are celebrating this important milestone in the UK’s democratic history throughout the year, and there will be lots of events and activities for you to get involved in.

We’re also encouraging local organisations to get involved. If you’d like to run a Vote 100 event, we can help by sharing information with you and by promoting your events and activities.
